Taka Takiguchi (滝口貴) is a dancer, performer, poet and producer of Japanese heritage, based in Naarm, Australia. As a migrant and queer, Taka is passionate about investigating the relationship between these inter-sectional identities and pycho-physicality, often in a form of poetry.

Taka's recent work includes: ‘Re-Futuring of the words’ (Bandung, Indonesia 2022), ‘A Body of 45 – 45の心体’ (Melaka, Malaysia 2022), ‘A Body of 44 – 44の心体’ (Online 2021).  Recent collaborative performance works are; ‘Still Wanna be a Rabbit’ (Melbourne 2022) with Weave Movement Theatre, ‘Multitud’ (Melbourne 2022) with Tamara Cubas.

Recent projects and artistic collaborators in his producer’s capacity are: Weave Movement Theatre (Production assistant: 2020-2022), Zya Kane, Sensory theatre (Creative producder: 2020-2022), ButohOUT! Festival, Australia’s first Butoh festival (Producer: 2017-2022) with the Butoh dancer and choreographer Yumi Umiumare, and Melaka Art & Performance Festival (Collaborator: 2016- 2022) with Melbourne based dancer, Tony Yap.
