Originally from Japan, Takashi Takiguchi is a Melbourne-based dancer and a creative producer.

He has performed at numerous festivals in Indonesia, Japan, India, Malaysia and Melbourne. His solo performances are; 'To Live' (2013), 'This world, That world' (2016), 'Mimpi Tikar (Dream of A Mat)' (2017), and 'A Whisper of the lone dancer' (2017).He is also a qualified social worker and worked with diverse group of socially disadvantaged people since 2007. He re- discovered the power of arts as an inevitable and fundamental consciousness to have in life for all humankinds – through rituals, ceremonies, daily practices and beliefs to connect with inner self so it can be freed from contemporary self.

This has led him to work with Sampang Agung Centre for Performing Arts (SACPA) in East Java, Indonesia as an operational manager since 2015, where the community-led art school has empowered young artists and promote social re-connectedness, meaningful engagement with arts and local economy.

He co-produced performing arts festivals, Pelem Festival (2016 & 2018) in Indonesia, Evocation of Butoh (2017) and ButohOUT! (2018) in Melbourne. He is also an artistic and operational collaborator of Melaka Art & Performance (MAP) Festival.
